A Letter from Our Shepherd (May 2nd)

Dearly Beloved in Christ,

The Lord is risen, alleluia! He has truly risen, alleluia! As we continue to live the grace of Easter, it is important that we stand firm in our Baptismal Vows of renouncing Satan and refusing to be mastered by sin. In Holy Scripture the Apostle Paul exhorts us...read more.

Our community is built upon the four pillars given to us by the Word of God:
"And they devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and fellowship to the breaking of the bread and the prayers" (Acts. 2:42).

  • Teaching

Here at Assumption Teaching means: study through small group bible studies, weekly lectures given by our Director of Evagelization and Discipleship, religious education classes for the children, youth, and adults, as well as sacramental preparation for all ages.

  • Fellowship

Here at Assumption Fellowship means: gathering together for our annual bazaar; our Lenten fish dinners; our annual St Nick’s, St. Patrick’s, and Spaghetti Dinners; and for bimonthly bingo. We also encourage small-groups within the parish, and seek to find a place for everyone to enjoy fruitful and edifying Catholic community.

  • Breaking Bread

Here at Assumption the Breaking of the Bread means: assembling each week for the Sunday Eucharist; praying for the souls of our deceased loved ones in the Funeral Liturgy, and strengthening engaged couples for strong and holy families.

  • Prayers

Here at Assumption Prayer means: coming together before each Mass to pray the Rosary; spending time weekly adoring Our Eucharistic Lord; and chanting the Divine Office in praise of God. To begin praying the Divine Office, which includes Morning Prayer through Night Prayer, please go to the site found below.
