Praise be Jesus Christ!
My name is Father Nick Larkin. I grew up in Delta, Colorado and heard the call to be a priest from a very young age. I found
myself inspired by the heroic witness of Pope Saint John Paul II.
I am passionate about helping Catholics magnanimously live their faith and radically seek holiness in Christ. As Pope Benedict XVI said,
"The world promises you comfort. But you weren't made for comfort. You were made for greatness." As a priest I desire more than anything else to help initiate people into the joy of friendship with Our Lord Jesus Christ and to live the teachings of His Holy Catholic Church.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is the greatest treasure of my life, as it is for all Catholics. At Assumption Parish we seek to celebrate the Sacred Liturgy with deep reverence, tradition, and joy in the Holy Spirit and are committed to preaching the fullness of our Catholic faith, as revealed by God, handed down by the apostles, witnessed by the blood of the martyrs, and continuously and consistently taught by the magisterium. In a time of ambiguity, we want the bright light of God's Word of Truth to illuminate the darkness of our world.
As you visit Assumption Parish, you will find a community of supernatural faith seeking to love God with their whole heart and one another as Christ has loved us. Our parish is centered on Christ present with us in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar. Because we strive to live from the Eucharist Heart of Jesus, our parish actively seeks to be a refuge for sinners where the mercy of God strengthens all to live Gospel holiness and bring the fullness of God's grace and truth into our world. In Christ Jesus, we welcome you to our parish and invite you to join us for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass as together we seek first the Kingdom of Heaven.
Per Ipsum, et cum Ipso, et in Ipso,
-Father Nick
